Volunteer Umpire Program
We believe in the spirit of volunteering. By relying on volunteer umpires,
we reduce costs that would otherwise be passed on to parents, helping to keep the league affordable for all
families.
Note: Umpires are appointed by the local league president and approved by
the board of directors. Only the board has the authority to dismiss or suspend umpires if necessary.

Little League Background Check Policy
The safety of our players is our top priority. To ensure a secure
environment, all volunteers (including managers, coaches, umpires, and board members) must complete an annual
background check. This process includes:
-
Submitting a Little League Volunteer
Application each year.
-
Undergoing a National Criminal File database
search that covers criminal records and sex offender registries across all 50 states.
-
Volunteers can request a copy of their full
report by contacting First Advantage at 844-279-1078.
-
If a negative record appears, the volunteer will
receive a copy via U.S. Mail. For disputes, volunteers can contact the First Advantage Consumer
Disclosure Team at 800-845-6004.
